The replacement of the existing timber sliding box framed windows to the West Elevation of the existing Primary School with new windows to match.
The works has to be carried out during the School term and there was to be close co-ordination between the school and our Site Team to vacate classrooms in accordance with the very tight programme.
Deliveries with the named Window Supplier were organised on a weekly basis as there was limited storage space.
These windows had to be brought into the school out of hours and operations creating excessive noise had to be limited to set times when the children were not in the classrooms.
The School were delighted with their new windows and we highlight below the emails received by both the headmaster and Contract Administrator.
I would like to officially thank the Local Authority for our new windows this term. The windows themselves are brilliant and have made a huge difference. I would also like to add that the process with them going in during the term time has worked very well. Chris Moore has been excellent and the contractors have worked very well with us. I’ve copied Chris in so that he is aware of our appreciation as well. When you consider that this project followed our recent expansion work it has been impressive. All the teachers have been happy to move rooms and then go back in to them. They as well as the Caretakers have appreciated the planning and excellent organisation. The building has been transformed!
