Brief:

The complete refurbishment and alteration of 8 New Quebec Street, to create basement and ground floor retail accommodation and three high quality 1 and 2 bedroom flats on the upper floors.

Key Issues:

The project consisted of the complete internal demolition of the property including the existing floors, roofs and part of the internal and external walls. This involved extensive temporary and structural works, including underpinning, which severely restricted access around the site.

There were a number of planning restrictions that we had to work under, as the property was in a conservation area.

The surrounding and adjoining properties were fully occupied during the construction process.

Outcome:

8 New Quebec Street is now a large open retail area on two floors.
