Project: Refurbishment of Office Entrance and Reception

Brief:
Refurbishment of the entrance and lift lobby of an occupied office block, to include upgrade of the disabled toilet.
Key Issues:
This was a high quality refurbishment of a town centre office. The detailed co-ordination between the project management team and designer, and with the key mechanical, electrical and specialist fit-out sub-contractors was a key factor. The centrepiece of the new entrance lobby was a new walnut veneered ribbed wall and reception desk.
To minimise disruption to the tenants, a significant amount of work was carried out in the evening and at weekends. Carefully planned segregation of the working site and public areas were essential to avoid the risk of accidents.
The disabled toilet facility was fully upgraded in line with DDA requirements and in keeping with the style and quality of the new reception area.
The Result:
The scheme was finished on time and within budget, and provided an impressive, modern and bright entrance area. The client was so delighted with the outcome that we are now commencing joint further projects with them.
