Brief:
The refurbishment and alteration of Quebec Mews properties to create new contemporary office accommodation.
Key Issues:
The project consisted of the complete demolition of two of the Mews properties, with the remaining two being partially demolished, including the existing floors and roofs, leaving the external party walls. This involved extensive temporary and structural works including underpinning before any re-building could commence, which severely restricted access around the site.

There were a number of planning restrictions, as the properties were located in a conservation area.
The surrounding and adjoining buildings were fully occupied during the construction process.
Outcome:
3-5 Quebec Mews is a large open plan office area on three floors, fully air conditioned and providing all modern services.
6 Quebec Mews has office space on four floors, including a basement vault with a contemporary staircase between the floors, giving this property a very modern feel. |
