Brief:

To refurbish and clean external brickwork and to undertake specialist stonework repairs to walkways. To upgrade windows and install point of use water heaters in a number of areas.

Key Issues:

All work had to be undertaken to avoid disruption to normal hospital operations and activities.

During the project, we ensured that all pipe work and other sensitive areas met the requirements of an L8 Risk Assessment, in respect of Legionella bacterium control.

Outcome:

The project was completed with minimal disruption to the staff, patients and to the hospital's normal activities. The new water heaters have proved to be an excellent benefit. Within the project, a long-standing water-ingress problem was identified and resolved.
