Project:
External refurbishment of a Primary School.
Location:
Uxendon Manor Primary School Harrow
Contract Period:
18 weeks
Value:
£525,000

Brief:

Replacement of Asphalt roof coverings with new insulation and a Liquid Plastic Decothane roof system complete with lightning conductors. Design and installation of a Solar PV system to generate electricity. Installation of new aluminium windows and doors, extensive stone restoration and external redecoration.

Key Issues:

Due to the budget restrictions there was no temporary roof structure, therefore roof coverings had to be stripped and renewed methodically to prevent the building being left exposed to the elements.

To reduce its carbon footprint the school took this opportunity to install solar panels on the roof to generate its own electricity.

Outcome:

The works were completed on time and with no water ingress. The school is now generating enough electricity to power the school when fully operational. Trinity has secured further works at the school since completion of this project.
